I use Facebook and Twitter, but I need to look into Google+, obviously. I understand that this would add credibility to my sites, and this post is a good reminder to me to work on this. I've had lots of success using facebook to generate traffic, and so I have been pretty happy with those results, but I think that I've hit a plateau at this point, so I need to boost much more activity at my two blogs. I am on twitter, facebook and instagram. i think most of the content can go viral on such sites. And these places have the buyers. So you can target them and make your content go there viral. So it eventually works out for making the website work. It can be used to sell as well as promote your business or services. In grand scheme of things it'd be different for each one of us.

They sure are important. I am actually shocked to hear that it's only 75%. I personally think that social media presence in SEO trends and other online marketings are way more than that - probably 90%! That is because social medias are like the one-stop-shop when it comes to endorsing whatever your services or products are. You can also share easily your forums and posts with just a single click because of those nifty share buttons.

Yeah my brother, social content is very important in today's SEO strategies and techniques because most search engines has adopted adopted the credibility and relevance algorithm in their ranking technique and they do that using social media presence and linking support. that's why most blog and website with social media link support, like Facebook,Google+, etc.rank higher with the ones that are not linked. so it's really important.

I think that social content is what spreads the word about your blog or blogs. Many people know to make use of various social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram and more to let people know about their blogs and make sure that the word is out about the kind of blog or website they have. Good article! Personally, I don't think people realize the importance of social media and how it plays a part in SEO trends as a whole. But the idea is to have strong social content in order to make your ranking higher. It seems that those with a good social media strategy towards SEO tend to do better than the rest.

I agree that they are important. What people need to realize, if they don't already, is that in this day and age, social media is booming more than ever. We get to be with people online at any place at any time. People love to engage in social media. When they see your business prominent in social media, you get more brownie points and are deemed to be more trustworthy because you are also engaging in the social media game. Your relatability will increase tenfold as a result. Consumers want accessibility so they can get their concerns answered. What helps a business to thrive through social media presence especially is answering people's replies and posting relevant things. They look good because they look like they are up to date with the trends. Even companies such as Wendy's do this, and people remember them more in the long run.

Your social media profile can be indexed on search engines if you have opted in, however, I don't think your social media sharing will be indexed on search engines, the only exception is G+ sharing. When you share on G+, Google search engine will ndex your sharing. Having said that social media sharing is important for SEO. If your contents shared on social media gets likes, comments that it will send social signals to search engines. Social signals are important for getting better rank on search engine. Social media sharing not only boost your traffic, but also increase sales and generates leads.

I have a hunch that social media is also affecting the SEO especially when you post the link of your website. Maybe the search engine will have a glance to see your link in social media and you earn some SEO points for that. So maybe the social media is one of the best pastures for doing the marketing promotion of your website because you get some traffic from your network and you also get SEO points for the posts of your promotional items that include your website’s link.
