The top 6 reasons people love Shopify so much

When it comes to selling something online, people are not starting to move over to Shopify to handle all of their websites needs.  I've tried out Shopify with a few of my websites and I have to say that it is pretty amazing how they have everything set up.  I would say that it's more for the novice marketer and not someone who knows how to set up a website on WordPress with WooCommerce since that needs a bit more attention to detail.

Shopify is like an out of the box solution in order to get an eCommerce website up and running in  a very little amount of time.  I was brand new to Shopify and I think I had my website up and running with 100 items on it, fully optimized titles and descriptions and all of my payments methods in around a week.  Now some of you are saying "That's a long time to set all of that up!" but it's actually not.  I was probably working on it a few hours each day by uploading items, editing titles and descriptions and just making sure everything was going to work.

In this discussion I'm going to go over the top 6 reason why I think people love Shopify so much.

#6 - Easy Editing
Shopify lets you edit almost anything you want in order to be super unique in the search engines.  And we all know that being unique is what keeps you standing out in the crowd today.  You can change your titles, descriptions, have custom URLs (duh), make pages invisible or visible and also set up redirects fairly easy.  Now not only can you do those things, but you are also easily integrated with almost every social media platform with the click of a button.  Coding something like that would take a while or cost you some cash on a script that's already written.

#5 - Shopify Support
When it comes to breaking into eCommerce you will notice that you're likely going to be contacting some type of support system now and again.  With Shopify you have a support desk at your fingertips which responds fairly quick and is usually very accurate with their responses.  You can usually talk with someone over the phone or at the very least a chat system, which are getting better and better by the day.

#4 - Hosting
When it comes to setting up your website on Shopify, you don't have to worry about all the technical details that come into a hosting service.  With Shopify you simply sign up, set your domain and you're ready to rock!  You might have to wait some time for your domain to point at the right server before you see your website live, but you can still edit it in the meantime while you wait.... Which is awesome The top 6 reasons people love Shopify so much  You don't have to worry about uploading any code or scripting anything because you just install apps onto your store and they're ready to go without any difficult tweaking.

#3 - Amazing Themes
When you hear someone say "I used a free theme for my design" you usually cringe at the sound of it because free themes are synonymous with ugly and outdated designs.  These types of themes are free because no one wants them due to the fact that they are garbage most of the time.  Not with Shopify!  I was actually pretty impressed with the free shopify themes and how well they looked.  They were fully functioning themes that you could easily edit to make look custom and you could upload whatever apps you wanted to customize your users experience even more The top 6 reasons people love Shopify so much  You can basically take a free theme and make it look premium in a day or two lol.

#2 - It's Affordable
Now some people will argue about this with me since some of the plans can cost you a good amount of money each month and the apps sometimes cost more than they should.  But in my eyes I'm paying for something I don't have to code or set up and the apps only make me more profitable so I don't mind paying for them.  Of course there are always ways to get around paying for the apps because there are free versions or cheaper ones available, but they aren't used by the masses so that means you'll have to search for them lol.

Drum Roll Please!!!!!!!!!

#1 - Security
Shopify has a great setup that makes everything secure.  They invest tons of money into making everything secure so that you don't have to worry about anyone getting into your website and getting your clients information.  One feature that I really like, which isn't advertised much, is that when you get an order you will see if the IP and Credit Card is high risk, low risk or not a risk at all.  They scan every purchase through databases to see if the person regularly files charge backs or if the information used (IP, Card #, Address, etc.) is linked with fraudulent purchases.  This feature saved me a ton of money when I was selling $300 items on my Shopify store.  Someone purchased $1,200 worth of items and wanted it delivered overnight, but I cancelled the order immediately due to it being a know fraudulent buyer.

In Conclusion:
When it comes to why Shopify is so popular it's pretty obvious.  They take the users experience in to account and try to make the best platform available.  I actually prefer using WordPress and WooCommerce to get an eCommerce store up and running, but even I can't ignore that Shopify is a pretty sweet platform to use for selling something online The top 6 reasons people love Shopify so much

I have seen many websites using shopify and read that it seems to be the more popular ecommerce platform nowadays. I am also wondering why shopify is so popular, and now I know this. I think it's worth to invest some money while we can be stress and worry free of a lot of technical stuff, though I am quite interested in checking out woocommerce too. Thanks for your post!

I have seen Shopify before but I didn’t know that it is a platform for e-commerce. If what I had read is correct in my understanding then maybe I can create my site on Shopify and sell whatever there is that I can sell. If you have a site in Shopify then that looks better than engaging in affiliate marketing. You have the freedom to choose your products that you can also avail from other stores.

I want to contradict the point that shopify is affordable. When I started an ecommerce website, I started with just about $20 (domain plus hosting fees), however,I cannot use shopify service for this amount. Furthermore, you will have to work for months before, your products begin to sell. You need to continue paying for shopify service even though you are not making any money. Shopify is not a good option for beinners. Having said that if you are a pro, you can make good money by using shopify.

Shopify is actually very affordable for what it offers you.

Furthermore, you will have to work for months before, your products begin to sell.
That's 100% false. If you're only focusing on sales driven through SEO and rankings, then yes, you will have to work for months before you see a sale. But you can instantly get a sale as soon as your PPC ads are approved, I've done it many times. I would set up a website, configure everything that needed to be done, set up a PPC campaign, make my first sale the day it was approved. This takes me around 3 weeks to setup if I'm on wordpress or working with a custom design because I do it in my spare time. With Shopify I just have to pay for my membership and choose a theme. After that I upload my items/images, set prices and then set up my PPC campaign all in 1 day. So saying that it takes months before your products begin to sell is 100% false, you just need to know what you're doing The top 6 reasons people love Shopify so much

You have a point. Shopify is affordable for the kind of services it is offering. However, I am just comparing amount involved in using shopify and using wordpress or other open source CMS.
I don't have much experience with PPC campaigns. The only PPC campaign that I have ever done failed, perhaps I did not target the right customers. I will have to work on this area.

I believe it's worth to contribute some cash while we can be stress and effortless of a considerable measure of specialized stuff, however I am very intrigued by looking at woocommerce as well. A debt of gratitude is in order for your post!

As much as I enjoy online shopping, I honestly never purchased anything on Spotify. I will have to look into it.

I think quick Facebook shops is another reason that many people are switching to the shopify. You can see that some of such shopify options are lot better in that case. You'd understand that it can take some time for shopify to get sales. I don't think that's possible. You can see that shopify may not be easy to setup but once you do it is fairly automated from there onwards. And very smooth to operate after that.

Great and I must admit shopify is good especially the opportunity for one to create a store and sell products wherever he resides. I am sad though, we can't enjoy the ability to create our own shopify store because of the lack of payment provider. Paypal being the biggest payment provider and the most easiest to use on a shopify store, doesn't support my country. How sad.

I have decided to sell some of my products online and I asked some members here to give me their opinions on what sites it will be worthwhile to sell those products. Many of them did suggest Shopify. I am so happy that I came across this post today. You have provided me with some great information. I will definitely check this website now. Thank you for sharing about this.

To be honest, I have been that word Shopify a long time ago and all the while I thought it was a site like Amazon or e-Bay. This is the first time that I have read the details of Shopify. Gee, it looks like there is no need for a website designer anymore. And the best thing with Shopify is the facility that helps you create a business website in an instant. Maybe Shopify will be the standard in business website creation in the near future.
