3 things to have as e-commerce websites in 2017

Online marketing will be in 2-17 as brutal as it been in 2016. E-Commerce websites won't be spared and having the latest technologies implemented will make the difference between the winners and the losers when it comes to the SEO wars.

1. You need to have custom descriptions for your products. If you think you can just throw 100 products with some picture on a website and hope people will buy, you are wrong, those times are over. It's all about engaging content now, so you need to have a custom description that targets the right kind of people. You also need to give people the option to leave reviews, buyers love reading other's people opinions about your product, such type of content is crucial.

2. Bots - You need to make sure you get on this train early on. Having Bots engage your users will get you a lot more orders. There are a lot of bot type of services out there, test them and implement the best for your niche!

3. Augmented Reality - If you have a big enough budget to develop your own app, go with features like AR. Pokemon Go - do I need to say anything else? AR is here, it works and it will be a huge trend for 2017.

I've replied on a similar post about this, too lazy to find it now. However, a lot of ecommerce websites are now using live chat support to engage with their visitors. For instance, if you go to a website that sells products or services, usually in the right hand bottom corner would be a little chat box. This chat box will popup and ask you if you need any assistance. This is just like when you walk into a physical store and an employee would greet you and ask if you need assistance. This in my opinion is a great way to establish first contact with visitors to your ecommerce website.

The chat box is always a great way to tell the buyer from your website that you are there for them. Just like a form of confidence boosting that you are ready to assist them wherever that they are finding it difficult to handle. I believe that things work better in this type of situation when we have a means to directly communicate with the buyers.

Pardon me for asking this question because whenever I would bots my mind would race to the thought that using bots is wrong. I really don’t know the mechanics of bots when it comes to marketing but maybe they can do the spying for us. Nevertheless isn’t it somewhat unethical when your e-commerce site is using bots just to get an advantage over the competitors and also from the prospective clients that you pester with spam ads of your site?

Having bots is the main thing that is going on. The visitors to your website will always want to be sure that the services that they are buying is one that they will benefit from in the long-term and having a chat bot to engage them will assure them that you are up and doing as well.
