The Real Reason For People To Buy Traffic?

Hey guys,
We know that website traffic is selling like hot cupcakes, and I personally know a few good reasons for it.. Which is why I provide traffic myself.

However, even though I know how I provide it, and the benefits from my own traffic service, I would love to hear some thoughts from you guys.

Why do you think website traffic services is such a hot deal?

I mean, if you search for a few seconds you'll see tons of traffic services. One after another promise you this or that.

Adsense Safe. No bots. No china traffic. Improve Alexa Ranking. Guaranteed daily visitors. Some even promise you leads and sales, which is insane if you ask me.. As I would never claim to deliver leads or sales when I can't control unique visitors actions. - But we are all different..

Anyhow. What is the reason for YOU to buy traffic? And why do you think others are doing it?

Andre doesn't buying traffic put your Adsense account at risk?

I have always thought that buying traffic is all bots so it is quite useless to me. I only want real people on my website, preferably people that will find my content interesting since I am a blogger. I guess though that asking for realtraffic based on a person's interests is a little hard to come by right?

Then I would place an order for visitors that are all women in the age group of 25 - 40 that have children. Can you send me buckets of traffic like that? LOL

Lynne. Anything is possible actually. So yeah, you could get exactly that kind of traffic if you find the right person. However, something like that would probably cost you a fortune too. - And yes, I do agree with you in a way, as most traffic services seems to be bot generated traffic, but traffic is still such an extremely hot selling services in general, and that's actually the reason for my question here. - I would love to understand exactly what's going on in people's minds when they're buying their traffic services.

It would help me in several ways, and especially in terms of money, as I can provide traffic services.

Those are some great insides, Mike! Andre, thanks for asking this questions, hope it can clarify people perception of buying traffic services.
Business is business and sometimes doing little stuff to increase your profit can go a long way. I'm not very proud of myself but I used to buy fake traffic to pump up my GA reports so I can sell my websites at a better price.

Sure the people I was selling that website too weren't the sharpest online marketers around and I never got any complaints about it either.

People buy traffic for a couple of reasons. For instance:
They do not know paid traffic does not convert
They do not know paid traffic is just a number
They do not know paid traffic might risk their adsense and other advertising network
They want to impress people with stat.

That’s also my take on the reason why people buy traffic – to make their website look impressive. In all the discussions that I had read about traffic, the consensus is against buying traffic since most likely what you will get is traffic from bots. And we all know that traffic from bots is not legit and not recognized by search engines. Much more, your website may be penalized for that fake traffic.

Paying for traffic works when you do search engine marketing and social media marketing (advertising on search engines and social media is a way to pull traffic by paying for traffic). However, if you buy traffic from traffic exchange site or PTC site, you can gain volume traffic, however, the traffic does not really help you generate revenue. IN the beginning, when I did not know much about paid traffic, I used traffic exchange sites like hitleap, 10khits and link collider. By using these sites I was able to gain a ton of traffic, my alexa rank also improved, however, my bounce rate was 100 percent, ad clicks was zero and revenue was zero.
