The Real Reason For People To Buy Traffic?

Hey guys,
We know that website traffic is selling like hot cupcakes, and I personally know a few good reasons for it.. Which is why I provide traffic myself.

However, even though I know how I provide it, and the benefits from my own traffic service, I would love to hear some thoughts from you guys.

Why do you think website traffic services is such a hot deal?

I mean, if you search for a few seconds you'll see tons of traffic services. One after another promise you this or that.

Adsense Safe. No bots. No china traffic. Improve Alexa Ranking. Guaranteed daily visitors. Some even promise you leads and sales, which is insane if you ask me.. As I would never claim to deliver leads or sales when I can't control unique visitors actions. - But we are all different..

Anyhow. What is the reason for YOU to buy traffic? And why do you think others are doing it?

Best Regards,

There's lots of positive reasons to buy website traffic. Some of them are; to improve my domains metrics. That includes things like my Alexa rating and 3rd party metrics such as mozRank etc. And also to boost my Analytics with traffic from all around the world or even from a specific country like the U.S. for example. Or just to keep my page views and impressions count up so to keep my advertisers happy lol

Some people do what's know as traffic arbitrage. That's the art and process of buying website traffic to your website and then earning more from that traffic in the clicks you get on your ads or sales you make than you paid for the traffic in the first place. Which you can then put back into buying more traffic and doing the same thing over and over again.

That's actually something I've looked into several times before and something I usually find myself returning to look into more and more. I actually know this Russian guy that buys 100-500k traffic per month from me and then uses the traffic to earn money from the ad impressions he has on his site. He wont tell me who his advertiser is as he cloaks all the links. But he always returns to buy more so I can only assume he's making a profit from it which gets me looking into how to do the same thing more and more each time lol.

This guy does a good job of explaining it using a Hitleap Traffic Arbitrage system.

Thank you Mike, I appreciate it. Sounds like you have everything covered in terms of traffic. Both paid and free. The Real Reason For People To Buy Traffic? (I'm referring to your answer on Lynne's reply). Anyhow, I appreciate it, as this will help me to figure out the benefits other people have in mind too, and not only think about the benefits I can see myself. So it's awesome actually. Thank you! Andre doesn't buying traffic put your Adsense account at risk?

I have always thought that buying traffic is all bots so it is quite useless to me. I only want real people on my website, preferably people that will find my content interesting since I am a blogger. I guess though that asking for realtraffic based on a person's interests is a little hard to come by right?

Then I would place an order for visitors that are all women in the age group of 25 - 40 that have children. Can you send me buckets of traffic like that? LOL

Most traffic you can buy is bot generated traffic. Some of it's a mix of both. Sometimes it's real too. Some places provide it from an inventory of sites they have. Think ISP's and Domain Registrars. They have literally hundreds of thousands of domains they're hosting. Mostly they're parked domains, old expired domains that people never renewed but are parked now, but that's fine, since they can redirect the traffic from them to your site. And they can even filter by country or niche type of traffic too. That includes some big advertisers and publishers too. Think alternative Adsense sites and companies. But generally, those types of traffic services are very expensive to run permanently. But they do have the best ROI as well so it's possible to earn something from them if you're with the right advertiser or are getting real human traffic that's sort of interested in your product/niche already. But it's an art to find them, test them, check the ROI and then hit onto something where you're able to make more money back from your investments in it. So yeah, you can find but it's a bloody minefield trying to find the right one amongst the millions of fake sites and that out there saying they provide that type of traffic but provide bot generated traffic or use some new sophisticated method of generating it.

And of course real human traffic is better for you for that purpose. However, even that bot generated traffic can have multiple benefits and uses for your domain and website as well. Keeping the hits on it keeps it hot and improves its 3rd party metrics like Alexa rating, moZrank etc etc as well as always strengthening your DA even PA etc. The more traffic your site gets, the more appeal it will have as a Search Engine too possibly since by looking at these other things it's one way of knowing if that site is a popular site or not. Thanks Mike, well if it was real people (and not like ptc real people) then I might be interested! But I am not sure I want to risk my website or bother trying to find the real traffic suppliers as opposed to bots.

Andre do you still supply traffic?

Your website won't be in any danger as long as you work with a decent supplier. People visit websites on a daily basis so it's only natural to have a spikes in traffic on certain days etc. But if you have an average of 10 visitors per day for instance, then I wouldn't recommend sending 10,000 visitors instantly to your site.. (And that's what several suppliers are doing). I would recommend spreading them out, so you'll get a nice and steady flow of visitors.. And that's why I provide traffic myself during 30 days.

Lynne. Anything is possible actually. So yeah, you could get exactly that kind of traffic if you find the right person. However, something like that would probably cost you a fortune too. - And yes, I do agree with you in a way, as most traffic services seems to be bot generated traffic, but traffic is still such an extremely hot selling services in general, and that's actually the reason for my question here. - I would love to understand exactly what's going on in people's minds when they're buying their traffic services.

It would help me in several ways, and especially in terms of money, as I can provide traffic services.

Those are some great insides, Mike! Andre, thanks for asking this questions, hope it can clarify people perception of buying traffic services.
Business is business and sometimes doing little stuff to increase your profit can go a long way. I'm not very proud of myself but I used to buy fake traffic to pump up my GA reports so I can sell my websites at a better price.

Sure the people I was selling that website too weren't the sharpest online marketers around and I never got any complaints about it either.

People buy traffic for a couple of reasons. For instance:
They do not know paid traffic does not convert
They do not know paid traffic is just a number
They do not know paid traffic might risk their adsense and other advertising network
They want to impress people with stat.

That’s also my take on the reason why people buy traffic – to make their website look impressive. In all the discussions that I had read about traffic, the consensus is against buying traffic since most likely what you will get is traffic from bots. And we all know that traffic from bots is not legit and not recognized by search engines. Much more, your website may be penalized for that fake traffic.

Paying for traffic works when you do search engine marketing and social media marketing (advertising on search engines and social media is a way to pull traffic by paying for traffic). However, if you buy traffic from traffic exchange site or PTC site, you can gain volume traffic, however, the traffic does not really help you generate revenue. IN the beginning, when I did not know much about paid traffic, I used traffic exchange sites like hitleap, 10khits and link collider. By using these sites I was able to gain a ton of traffic, my alexa rank also improved, however, my bounce rate was 100 percent, ad clicks was zero and revenue was zero.
