Today I got about 50 emails today with Black Friday offers.
Is that a lot? It was quite a lot for me.
If I search my Inbox for Black Friday it takes up my whole screen!
It's crazy. Some of them were pretty good though with up to 50% off.
Still though, I really need to start unsubscribing from some of these emails!
I might set up a filter to block anything with the string "Black Friday" in it!
I'm just wondering, did anyone else receive any more than me?
Did you manage to bag a bargain deal today anywhere?
Oh. My. Gosh. I do not even want to think about it..
Let's see, on my personal email, that I don't use to sign up to newsletters, but somehow I still get some spam, I think I have gotten about 7 emails. On my other email that I use for signups, and do not really care if it is spammed with junk about 800.. This time is very annoying, because these companies want people to buy their products, and it's a great day for spending so why not?
I think if I was a corporate business person I would probably send out all those emails too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?
hahaha! Yeah I bet. People trying to get a good deal on something. Some people spending all their money on stuff. It's like, oh you got an iPhone 7 but you've got no food in the fridge? For some people lol. But that said, if they sell it on again for full price and make money on top for that then power to them! Just try not to trample anyone to death in the process. I guess that's why they call it Black Friday after the Black Death. I don't think anyone has actually been killed during a mad Black Friday haberdashery have they?
And yeah same it's better to hold out, I usually wait until the January sales as things are just a bit cheaper by then anyway so you can often get a better deal. But you should only buy it if you have need for it!
And I know I'm definitely setting that filter, I could save days of my life not having to deal with email spam. But some of the offers sent aren't actually that bad and I'm already partly interested in their services hence being subscribed to their emails. Sometimes you do come across a deal you can't refuse so it's good and bad. But I just don't want to have to see all the junk in between!
Wow... You guys are nuts! - Totally crazy!
I got 5 emails and 3 texts. I answered all the texts with a "stop" so I'll never receive anything similar again. Ever! (And if I do. I'll probably throw my entire computer out of the window. I'm so tired of these things so I can't even explain how I feel about it...)
The emails however, was mostly pure garbage. And even though I could find a good deal or two on their websites, I wasn't interested in the emails or the products they tried to push in the emails, and I didn't buy a single thing. Nothing. Zero.
Black Friday seems to be 10 times bigger than Christmas and 11 times bigger than Cyber Monday by now and I.. Nah, I just can't. I can't explain how tired I am.. Come at me with 90% discounts and I might just buy something. Keep pushing those boring 25% discounts and I'll probably go in to a store and pay the whole price for it, just to show that the discounts sucks!
The worst part is, that Black Friday has become a huge thing in Sweden now too!
Oh yes it's like a virus that spreads itself all over the world. It comes through the air and through the wire. And as each new year that passes and a new Black Friday comes, more and more people have already been infected as they hear about it. Stores and brands hear about it and adopt it hoping to get more sales from it, and the shopper hears about it hoping to grab a bargain and save money. More and more people prepare for it it each year that's why it just gets bigger and bigger and madder and madder. Crazy consumerist market that it is!
I got 10 emails, and I was not interested in any of them to be honest as I would not dream of going personally to a store on Black Friday. I cannot stand queues and the time you get to waste. I guess if these people were to add up the time that they spent in queues, trying to grab a bargain, (which in all probability they do not manage to buy everything that they wished for as they run out of stock), the savings that they make will be far less than if they were to spend that time working! I just stick to online shopping.
I tend to get about 50 emails every day with all kind of offers, but yesterday had to be some kind of record, probably got more than 200. Some tools even convinced me into buying monthly or per year subscriptions. Anyway, most had pretty good offers but ThemeForest, for example, rocked with their 19 bucks per theme or plugin.
I only hope I spend everything on good stuff, only time will tell since I only bought tools that I didn't tried much before purchasing.
Yeah that's the thing about these Black Friday deals and offers. Some of them are quite tempting and if you think you may purchase from them in the future at some point anyway, it can be tempting to take advantage of their offer now while it's available otherwise you just know you may end up kicking yourself when you do want to buy it! lol I wasn't aware of that and ThemeForest sounds like a dangerous site to browse right now, I bet they're making massive profits this Black Friday weekend!
Oh my gosh Mike, it was insane! I haven't checked my spam folder so I sure there must have been loads there too, but the ones that came through must have been about 35 -40.
I get that there are great discounts on Black Friday but I am not a sale shopper in general. I buy what I need when I need it and not when there are sales. If I know a sale is coming up for something I need to buy I might wait and buy it, but I won't go and buy things purely because they are on sale.
Just search your inbox for "black friday" and you'll probably find loads going back years. Well, if you're like me and you have like 150k unopened emails in one of my main Gmail accounts inboxes. Yeah it can be a good time for that if you're waiting for something to go on sale. And it happens to be on sale come Black Friday. There are quite a few 4K TV's on sale right now and I want one of them and been thinking about it but think I can live without it for at least until the new year as they'll all come down in price a bit by then anyway.
Oh my gosh yeah I don't want to open up my spam folder and see what's waiting for me in there LOL.
I find the Black Friday hype is getting just as much downplay as the Black Friday deals online. Gone are the days when one could look forward on a deal on a really good gadget unless you manage to find yourself in a human stampede waiting for the stores to, well just waiting for the day to be over because there are no breaktimes for you once you are caught up in a Black Friday Jam pack store. You'll just have to ride out the storm and hope that you came away with a good deal. Online however the Black Friday deals are a bit of a drag these days with other contenders such as Cyber Monday slowly gaining momentum over Black Friday.
