    It depends on what service are you talking about. It depends on how serious you were when you wrote the description of your service and what exactly did you promised.
    If it's backlinking service and you promised 500 links, then I will do my best to provide this amount. If I can't deliver I will propose the buyer two things. I will propose him my other services, alternative ways of getting links or I will refund him. This way you will preserve your reputation, which we all know that in this business is a thing that matters the most.

    There is no half way in this business, so either do your best either refund. Half done jobs almost always will draw complains and bad reviews.

    I have to agree with RaduV here. There was also another discussion quite recently, I think started by Razzy about being honest with your customers.

    I have had three occasions here where the seller could not provide what was promised when I ordered.

    The first and last times the seller marked the orders as completed and gave me so called reports which I checked and when I messaged them both to say the order was not actually completed as promised I got no response. I then contacted support and they refunded my payments to me.

    The other seller contacted me before the order was due and told me he was having difficulties outside of his control to complete the order and was just keeping me informed. Then he contacted me again and apologized and told me he could not complete the order

    He was honest and upfront and suggested a mutual cancelation done part of the order so I suggested an alternative that would work for me and he was happy with that.

    I gave him a recommendation and a positive review even though the order was a disaster, but it ended well and that was because he communicated with me.

    So long story short, I think the best thing is to keep your customer informed of what is happening, be honest and upfront all the way. This is the best thing you can do.

    That ain't going to happen. I read the entire SEO news that comes in every day and I always learn new concepts. I test new stuff that comes up, I'll never learn SEO if you don't constantly improve your skills and knowledge.

    My job and my income as a freelancer all depend on me doing modern SEO if things stop working at one point, it means I've stopped paying attention to everything that was happening in the SEO world.
    I also have backup plans, like going into marketing or copywriting, either way I think I always will find a job in the online arena.

    Since my priority in SEO work is contents, I guess my work will take effect sooner than the other elements like keywords and backlinks. With the fresh content, the search engines will consider the website for inclusion in the search list soonest. And if the content is of high quality then the ranking in the search list will be quite high and noticeable. However, if there is no effect after a week or 2, I will just charge it to the algorithm that it has not fixed date for the effect. In other words, we just have to continue with the SEO work and when the effect appears then it will raise the ranking continuously.
