Are you overwhelmed with information and don't know where to start?

Hi guys,

Lately, due to some experience (far from being too much) I am overwhelmed with information less often than previously but sometimes this happens!...
Searching a lot of information and having difficulty to make decisions or to implement...
Anybody experiencing something similar?

Also some questions may arise to my mind:
What should I do to make more money?
Which type of services to sell?
Just pictures or putting a video directly with me talking showing my face, or just my voice with text and maybe some portfolio?
Where to start?
How to promote my service?
Hardest question: how to have more traffic to my services / gigs?
What is the best way to get more customers?
Seller or affiliate (or both?)
You name it... Are you overwhelmed with information and don

Well having plenty of information allows you to have more ideas. You should be able to sift through what could work out or not, or keep them for future reference. My advice is TO FOCUS! For instance, it is evident you allow yourself to think and think too much without trying to focus - Case in point - You could have set up a different discussion for each one of those questions as you made a list there! I suggest sticking to something you do best, making the service description as enticing as possible in any way you deem fit, be it a picture or a video. You should make sure to promote your service of course, and you can do that by means of bumps and putting up a sale. I strongly suggest you also work on becoming an affiliate as that helps a great deal here.

As people told me when I had similar questions as you: go ahead and start trying.
Trying will never hurt you! Start with publishing services and then start with basic promotion techniques, move forward once you get the hang of it and if you find it doesn't work, go ahead and try something else, until you've found the right formula.

It's not easy I know, if it was easy and if people could found direct answers, then everyone would be doing it and its impossible for everyone to be successful.

Thanks buddy for your input Are you overwhelmed with information and don
Being hard can actually be a "good thing", if many people gave up, your chances of success increase!
What do you mean by basic promotion techniques? Youtube and Pinterest for example?

Man i can relate with you on this one for sure.Sometimes things get so bad that i start to think about all of the things you have listed. You have to analyze your situation and try one thing at a time rather than trying to tackle the whole list at once. If your like me your mind is always going and thinking of new things all the time if that happens to you just try and relax and remember one thing at a time. They say Rome was not built in a day. I think businesses are similar. Thank you for this topic as it hits home and i appreciate when i see things that i can relate to. Thanks for sharing brother have a nice day.

Having a bit more information about things in general it's just a good thing, and you should use that information in the right way. What service you think you can offer? You should start selling or reselling if you see that is something you can do it, and earn something from it.

I think we all have been in this situation before, simply stop thinking and start trying, if you never try you'll never know. In the end you're not going to lose from trying.

In these days and times with multiple screens in our faces day and night it's easy to get overloaded with information (IO) and become overwhelmed and leave us unsure on where to rest our thoughts for the day, at the end of the day. There's always going to be those niggling questions in the back of your mind. Am I doing enough? Am I being productive enough? Am I trying to be all I can be? Am I being all I can be? How can I improve myself? How can I find success? How can I make it? How can I make more money? How can I find more security? What to know what to focus on the most? Should I be using Facebook as much? What books or blogs should I be reading? Where should I be hanging out to online? Who should I be speaking to in the day? What friends should I spend time with and which ones should I dump!?

Everyone has questions like these at some point in their day or life. Some of them seem to creep up on us more and more and we find ourselves asking them more and more. Especially if we don't have a good answer for those questions or haven't yet done the things we know we probably should set out to do to make answering those questions easier. The fact is we're all on a learning curve and all have to ask ourselves these questions from time to time as without them, we probably wouldn't get anything done at all! So it's good to have and ask yourself these questions as by doing so you are taking the first step to finding answers to them and achieving those things.

Freudian whoa moment over. Let's try to answer some of your questions.

What should I do to make more money?

One part of me wants to say "Get a job" but I'm not that shallow and sarcastic a person and if someone said that to me I wouldn't find it particularly helpful even though it might have been partly said in jest! I guess that's very true though. At the end of the day, it's one of the most obvious ways of making money. Get a job and get paid for working. But that doesn't meant to say you need to go out and find job vacancies on job search sites and start sending your CV off to potential employers and sit through awkward and intimidating interviews only to get told they'll contact you if you are successful in your application.

But when looking for a job to work at to make money. One would usually apply for jobs he/her wouldn't mind doing or or has some kind of vested interest, skills and experience in too. Something that you could do without the need for too much training. But also something that might lead to other things and has a good rate of pay of course! But sometimes you might have to take something small at first and start off at the bottom and not be on the best pay rate until you prove yourself and work your way up from the bottom.

So that's sort of how you should see how you should make money money. Start off looking around for things you can do, things that you already have some kind of vested interest in. Things that you would be good at doing. Be it things that you can do and sell to others as a service on here. You'll start off with no sales at first and will need to get hired and make a name for yourself. Then in time through good promotion and that, you'll get hired, you'll get the sales, you'll start making a name for yourself.

It doesn't happen overnight. And it's all about taking those first baby steps. Going outside your comfort zone. Pushing yourself to the limit and then pushing just a little bit more. Going the extra mile and believing you can do it. Nobody ever got successful by thinking they was going to fail! Positive things happen to positive thinkers! Which type of services to sell?

Anything that is in high demand! Anything that you have an interest or passion in. Anything that you have some experience in already. Anything you want on here provided it's allowed and doesn't breach any of the sites Listing Guidelines or the sites TOS.
Just pictures or putting a video directly with me talking showing my face, or just my voice with text and maybe some portfolio?

Videos can really help sell your service. Services with videos in them generally sell better than services that don't. And anything that puts a "face" and a voice to your service will help it as it lets people relate to that video and appeals to their human side.
Where to start?

Start by searching through the site for the things you are good at, have knowledge, skills and experience and expertise in already. Sort by top rated, look at those peoples services, look at what they are doing. Look at ways you could do the same thing, only better. In your own way. With your own unique twist to it. That is one of the best ways to come up with ideas and inspiration for new services to sell.
How to promote my service?

There's may ways to do that. Same as promoting your site. You can take advantage of some of SEOClerks service promotion services such as category highlighting. And you can daily bump your services too. And there are many services for sale on here that you can buy such as social media promotion services, YouTube promotion services etc and SEO services etc etc. Since your service will be a public web page, you should do some good on-page SEO on it from the start and do off-page SEO (link building/marketing etc) too.
Hardest question: how to have more traffic to my services / gigs?

Do SEO and promotion and marketing of it. Establish yourself as an expert on the thing you are selling on social media sites, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc, Web 2.0 blogs, sites like Quora, Yahoo Answers, other microblogs, forums and blogs in that niche etc and link to your service from those places. Takes time but if done right can be very valuable and help with ranking purposes too. Are you overwhelmed with information and don
What is the best way to get more customers?

Through word of mouth advertising and recommendations. Through providing your buyers with an excellent, first class service and treating them like pure gold. By going the extra mile for people and providing a feel good service. Even when you don't feel good. Or just whatever way you find it working for you. That could be through doing SEO to SMO to PPC with Adwords etc. You could even buy advertising on other sites in the niche of the service(s) you're selling as well which would be good for targeted traffic.
Seller or affiliate (or both?)

Both. Be all you can be! Are you overwhelmed with information and don

I think that the major thing that can hold someone who wants to make money online is not giving it a try. If you can think of trying to improve your experience in the online space by daring to do things that your normal self won't have thought about doing, then you're halfway to achieving success. So, you have to give it a try.

I understand that feeling when you get an overload of information. It’s the opposite of the writer’s block where you have a blank mind and couldn’t think of what to write. With an overload of information, you are confused of the too much data that is like messing your mind. My take on that situation is to take a rest in order to give your mind time to sort things out. When you do some other things, the job will creep little by little but in an orderly fashion. An overworked mind has the tendency to be confused.
