How do you protect your services from bad buyers?

How do you protect your orders from malevolent buyers? I see this situation more often.
You get a buyer for a particular service, let's say writing an article or just some random content for a website following some conditions agreed with the buyer. Usually, this kind of service require a lot of research and time spent in order to be able to write it good, original and informative following a lot of instructions..

Then you face the situation that you deliver your work and the buyer is getting the article but suddenly, instead of completing the order he cancels it, without prior notice and without a valid reason. Even though the article is well written, well formatted and meet all the buyer's demands.

This situation can apply to different type of services as well.
How you, as a seller, will act in this situation? What you will do with the remaining article?

First of all, an article already sent to the buyer is officially "leaked" from my point of view and if the buyer cancels the order, he can also publish the article regardless. And I hate to get into a copyright battle for 1000 words.

I had this happen to me a couple of times, if the article is well written and you delivered what you promised, there is no reason in accepting a mutual cancellation agreement. The buyer may contact SC support and usually in such cases SC support won't punish the seller if he offered everything he/her promised in the service description. At this point, all the buyer can do is leave a negative review (the buyer has the right of opinion).

I think you should do your best to make a deal with the buyer and avoid a negative review, even if you completed your task perfectly.

Leaked indeed Cristian, but that doesn't give him the right to use the text. I know that it's an tremendous process to make not to use the article but at least, you should not be "punished" for his bad will.

I believe that the support staff, having all the facts, will remove the negative rating and most likely will ban the user as it might be fraud.

The staff won't remove a negative review unless the buyer got a refund or he was found as a fraud.
Otherwise, the buyer is entitled to his opinion regardless of if you think its fair or not.

I have seen a few posts on this topic in the community discussions and it must truly be awful to have a buyer "cancel the order" as soon as they receive the order or mark it as unacceptable with no reason included. It seems this is especially common with content writing services where the buyer has received the work and can then literally do as they please with it since like Cristian said who wants to go to battle for 1000 words?

Yes sellers can notify support and ask for help, but perhaps more steps should be taken to protect sellers? I am not quite sure what exactly but perhaps if a buyer wants to cancel an order or mark something as not acceptable they must write an explanation of a certain amount of words so that the seller has a very clear idea of why and also so that the buyer knows that if they cancel they are not completely free from an explanation.

I know buyers can also be rated but can sellers give more information about the experience with the buyer?

Yes, good idea's I think it should be made harder for buyers to cancel orders like it is with PayPal you have to file a dispute before getting a refund I believe. But for now, you just have to expect this is going to happen Karma will come back on the buyer when they have lost a good seller that won't serve them anymore lol!
