I know some members have shared a few tips on how to get affiliate referrals to SeoClerks and I would love everyone to share any tips they have.
There was a discussion a little while ago about the fact that you can now pin affiliate links to Pinterest so I pinned a few services there.
I have written a review on my website and through this I have gained 4 affiliates... YAY!
But no sales yet, but that will come. I have only just gotten started and I know these things take time.
So what worked really well for you? I am looking for my next best step to take!
Well, there are may ways. Just like there are many ways to promote and share your affiliate links. There's 50 right off the bat! And just lately And you may remember my post on how to use Reddit to find freelance work and gain affiliates. And the one on how to use Quora as a marketing and promotional tool for finding clients and gaining affiliates. Plus there's the one a while back on How to Use SlideShare Presentations to Drive Traffic to Your Site. And you are right about Pinterest too now allowing people to pin stuff with affiliate links. But you need to use attractive pictures/images. Something not easy when it comes to SEO services as work reports and before and after bar charts don't exactly make attractive/alluring pictures lol.
But your own site can be a very effective tool as well. Especially if you already have a huge reader base and a lot of organic traffic. By simply writing a review of SEOClerks and putting in ways in which it can help people and how they can use the site/marketplace. All the good things about it and making use of power words and using strong call-to-actions etc.
But there's so many other ways. Check the CD for "affiliates" and you'll see people who've asked the same question and been answered with tips and tricks and things. I think we need a big "The Everything Thread" though so we can put all of these in one place. I've been thinking about working on something like that so I don't have to keep searching for the same links to give to people that ask this lol.
Are you sure you want to delete this post?
Thanks Mike... I still have to get myself sorted on Slideshare, I forgot about that. Maybe I can get a seller here to design some killer slides for Slideshare?
Ok that might be the next thing I can try out. I have already done the review on my website and a Youtube video to go with that.
Thanks for those links Mike, I might go back to check those out.
I saw someone had some really attractive looking services for Quora, so maybe I can go the lazy route and use that to promote my review on SeoClerks?
Yes I am sort of time so I am keen to outsource a lot of my work right now rather than spend time on building up my profile on Quora! Yes I will get there in time but I want a little more action now.
Yeah I've seen those Quora services on here. They look quite good. Reasonably priced to use again and again if they're good. I might try a few out myself to be honest.
Exactly Mike, those are most likely long standing members that have a lot more clout than I will have, especially since I will need to build up a reputation before I attempt sharing any of my own links.
I use a service for sharing my content on Reddit too.
I have over 300 affiliates who signed up and never bought any service, so i ask my self why they bothered to go trough registration process at first time But it's still good to have them, they may come back in future.
Since you are active blogger and affiliate marketer, i believe you already know many different tactics to refer some affiliates, so i am not going into details here, but beside sharing affiliate links on social media networks my best experience and best affiliates were gained trough writing honest reviews on some SEO and SMM service(s) and also sharing $5 coupons for new affiliates is very attractive way to attract new affiliates because here at Seoclerks they can make few buys with that amount of money, Just search community discussions for tips how to provide them with these coupons, i believe it's still available.
Good luck with your affiliate income
Oh thank you Anwebservices! So I can offer $5 coupons to anyone that signs up for SeoClerks? hmmmm ok yes I think that is something I need to investigate now!
Blocked affiliate links on Facebook - here is a work around
I thought I would share a step by step work around for being able to post your affiliate link on Facebook without being blocked. If you have a domain laying around that is not in use you can use it to once again market on Facebook. What you will be doing is pointing your domain to your affiliate link (permanent 301 with masking). This will re-direct your domain to your affiliate link. I also use the free version of cloudflare and I did not test if this step is needed so I added it. How long will this method last? I cannot say. These steps takes only a few minutes to complete and is not overly complicated.
With your registrar: (Godaddy) go to DNS settings and do a Permanent 301 with masking for any url that you own.
Change the name servers with cloudflare.com - they will give you step by step instructions
Step 3 - Post on Facebook
Now you can use your domain and direct people to your affiliate link.
Writing great marketing messages works.
Oh wow Webguy2024 that is way cool! Ok I don't have a spare domain just lying around. This is just interesting.
So you can not only post affiliate links to Facebook you can also use Facebook advertising directly to your affiliate link?
Ok so now for some questions, can I just buy a domain to use like this? And will this work for any affiliate link? So I could advertise and use direct affiliate links like this?
"So you can not only post affiliate links to Facebook you can also use Facebook advertising directly to your affiliate link?"
Yes to posting on Facebook.
*** Advertising on Facebook? ***
Facebook originally blocked our affiliate links because members sell Facebook likes and other promotional stuff that Facebook doesn't like. I wouldn't want to show up on their radar trying to advertise. ** When you advertise with Facebook they an actual person will look at your links, ad messages and more. You might end up getting your domain blocked very fast.
Ok so now for some questions, can I just buy a domain to use like this? And will this work for any affiliate link? Yes you can, for as long as this method lasts.
So I could advertise and use direct affiliate links like this?
On other platforms? Sure.
Please note that the re-direct will only send people to the home page if you used your main affiliate link.
If you used one of your services with your affiliate link, the re-direct it will send people to your service.
** I would send people to the main affiliate link (Home Page). This way you can promote any and all services via service text. see example below:
All-in-One YouTube Video Ranker Service 2016 SEO Friendly for $49.00
Thanks Webguy2024 yeah I agree with you about the Facebook advertising, they are really strict and I have often had ads not being approved quite often.
They don't like certain images (yes I tried breast feeding images for my mommy) and certain links, plus there are certain words and phrases that they block too like "make money".
I do see why they have to have such strict rules, but it is a pain in the ass!
There are a few methods out there but I think nobody will tell you an easy method if they ever found one.
I'll tell you my methods of getting affiliate sales:
- promote SEOclerks on Q&A websites like yahoo answers or quora. I just look for a certain kind of question, that can I response with a related SC service and in the link, I include my affiliate ID;
- I spam the inboxes of big "buyers" on webmaster related forums (not too proud of this one but it happens to work);
- I promote my own services pretty much anywhere with my affiliate code in the URL.
Thas about it. I also had an SC banner on my blog a couple of years ago, but I don't think it converted much. I only made impressions.
Oh no, you're a spammer Cristian hahaha, well at least you admit it. I've had two clicks on my SeoClerks banner and I put that up a few days ago...
Thanks for sharing your tips, I must really get onto Quora.. although wasn't it your services that had all those awesome Quora services? I have been eyeing those for a while now.
Yup! I'm the one with the Quora services.
Cool! I am getting there, but I also want some content writing from EliteWriter... oh and some Youtube services from Mike...
Yeah you need to give me more tips so I can get more money so I can afford to outsource all thse things. Being in this marketplace for me is like a kid in a candy store.... I want it all!
Learning more through the use of social media has been a better that many people got to know about what you do. So, social media is really a better option.
