    That new Instagram update any comments?

    I don't mind a little social media here and there throughout my day, but I've started to notice similar trends between social networks. And, one of the biggest similarities was just released in the new Instagram update. Have you guys ever heard of snap chat, you know the app that lets you take pictures and record clips how ever you want and you post them and they disappear in 24 hours. Well Instagram just updated and guess what you can post a story and every thing will be gone in 24 hours. I'm not sure how I feel about that I mean that is what I got snap for. Any opinions?

    I got an email notifying me of the update and I laughed a bit when I checked it out That new Instagram update any comments? I guess if you're not keeping up with the competition, you're going to be left in the dust. What instagram did was pretty genius because they can't really be sued for what they did. Sure it's almost a carbon copy of what snapchat already has, but instagram named it "stories" and claim it's not about who created something first, but about a format and how you you put a spin on it.

    With the CEO saying that you know for sure that he isn't too worried about snapchat trying to sue for something like "code infringement" or something dumb lol That new Instagram update any comments?

    Now that instagram has the stories feature, I wonder how many people will continue to use snapchat.

    In the past, facebook launched Poke, Slingshot and Instagram Bolt to compete with snapchat but soon after launch they were pulled from the download stores because they weren't performing. Who knew that if you just copied your competitor it would work extremely well lmao That new Instagram update any comments? Why would anyone want to download another social media app when they can keep using instagram but with an added feature like the instagram stories. I know that when I use a service online I'd much more prefer an added feature than the parent company launch a different website and try to sell me on it. And this is exactly what instagram/facebook capitalized on That new Instagram update any comments? They did all their trial and error and just said "F*ck it! Just copy Snapchat!!!" lol That new Instagram update any comments?

    Yeah I agree with Razzy on this one. It is about keeping up and adding new features that other networks have, just making it your own.

    I like to stay with one social network and not run around. I get so many invites all the time to new social networks, most that I have never even heard of. My main social network is Facebook and I would like them to just add new features so I don't have to move.

    I was reading all about this Instagram/ Snapchat thing on the other discussion thread before I saw this discussion.

    I hope Snapchat will sue Facebook and wins. Facebook is just ripping Snapchat idea without any emotions or guilt, it's just a scumbag move if you ask me. This just shows that Facebook and Google are too big to ever fail again. If a new company with a better idea comes in the pictures, Facebook or Google will just buy them. If they don't want to be bought, they'll just copy everything the new company is doing.
    Kinnda sad really...there is no free market online.

    I think it's hilarious that they decided to piggy back off of an already established feature from Snapchat. They couldn't think of a new innovative feature for Instagram? Really? So they decided to copy and replicate a feature that is a main aspect of another application? I don't sit too well with this. I mean yes, we should share and create, and no idea is "original" or whatever but at least give credit where credit is due..
