Regular bump and before time delivery. Good communication is some way to get sales but do you have some other ideas to improve service sales?

Good suggestions already given.. However, you could also change your service titles and descriptions. One can have huge results by just moving one sentence two rows down or up etc. Using another image for your service.. There's a bunch of "little things" you could do. Just give it a shot and mix it up a bit. And don't be afraid of failure!

Yes those are indeed helpful things that some sellers often ignore or take for granted. Sometimes we tend to retain the same description and the same title and image since the time the service was created, and chances are it is not as effective as it could be with a slight difference which could end up working wonders. Thanks for pointing this out hitmeasap.

Agreed! I often go back to my services that aren't performing as well lately as they used to be and look into why this is. It could be the things that I said at the time I made the service in that services description don't apply as well today right now as they did before. So it's well worth just going over your services that aren't performing as well lately to see how you can update them and make them more prominent and effective. As Andre has said, this could be as simple as changing the title, some words in the description as well as any images too. In fact, there is always "room for improvement". If you asked 100 people to review your service and everything about the way it looks, I'd expect you come away with as many tips on ways you could improve that service. Usually this is because other people see things about that service that you didn't or couldn't see yourself that you can improve upon. That's not a bad idea actually, asking for service reviews. I think maybe we could have a category for that so people can post their services and ask for people to review them and give their opinions on what they do or don't like about that service and it's description etc. I know I would certainly be able to benefit from that even myself!
I am glad you took the time out to suggest the little things and it is true, a lot of people do not put that extra effort in to changing things around and giving a new look to there service does not matter what it is you see big brands do this all the time every thing in life changes times change people change times change and lets face it you got to keep up with the seasons, the little things do count trust me you would be surprised how much a real difference it would make changing a picture or changing you description around some ,

i think you would really kill the game by taking number two up, creating a competitive price can always be a good way to get sales up, just be sure not too sell your self short too many times you see be people really low ball just to attract new clients and it does work do not get me wrong people will always be attracted by the better deal but some times as the provider of the service you can mess around and sell your self short especially if you have enough work to make sure you keep your numbers on point.
Yes EliteWriter, I think your 5th point is really important. I have had a few sellers go a little over the time promised. Some of the sellers sent me a message on or before the due date and just gave a simple apology and let me know they were late and were working hard to get it finished as soon as possible. I don't mind at all when that happens. However when my order is late, even just by a day and I have not heard anything I do get annoyed.
Yes sometimes the seller, no matter how efficient he is, may not be able to deliver the service in time. Sometimes buyers forget that sellers are people after all, with families and other commitments. They also get sick or have stuff to handle. So in those let us say ' emergency ' situations, it is better to inform the buyer and see if it is okay for him to wait a bit, or if he prefers to cancel considering that the actual deadline cannot be met. The addition of the feature ' Request extra time' was really helpful in my opinion. I sometimes had to resort to it and the buyers were very nice when I explained the reason why I was making such a request.
Yes I think buyers just want to be kept informed. I am fine with my order being late occassionally. I just want to know and not have to wait wondering what is happening. Just a quick note to explain is fine
Exactly. A personal touch is what many sellers seem to lack - you know, being friendly and polite at the same time, keeping buyers updated on the order progress, and being clear what they can and cannot offer. Not being clear or responsive is devastating for a seller's reputation and very frustrating for a buyer.
Just a little bit of communication really goes a long way in most cases. I've dealt with some people (not here, in other business) that will just ignore you completely when something is late! They turn off phone, ignore emails and everything until the order is ready. That drives me insane!
I know what you mean. That is the worst feeling ever. I have had my share of these kinds of people too and the feeling is just awful because not knowing what is happening really drives you crazy! And the waiting is dreadful!
That happened a lot with suppliers for my online baby store and it really drove me crazy because ultimately I couldn't give my customers any feedback about why their orders were late or when they would even receive their orders (if ever). I didn't like having to rely on other people.
It was one the major contributing factors leading to me closing my store. I give brilliant service and being messed around like that wasn't in my plans.
I just couldn't understand it because I warned my suppliers. I told them the problem I have is NOT with the orders being late, not at all. I can handle that. The problem I have is lack of communication.
Yeah you and me both sister! Especially if I'm eager to get hold of what it is I'm buying. I don't mind if it's 1 day late but after this, 2 days, 3 days pass and there's no response or update from the seller to let you know what's happening, what the delay is or that everything is in hand and that they will deliver soon then it starts getting a bit annoying. But if they just simply posted to let me know and request more time I am fine with that. I don't mind if it's going to be late, but let me know that so I know that my money is valued when I purchased their service and they will be delivering it. Sometimes I've purchased services that have ran very late and there's been no response from the seller and this is really bad for business and puts me off from buying that same service or any other service from that same seller again and I'd imagine that to be the case for most buyers on here too!
Mike if a seller does that to me once I will never buy from him or her ever again, it doesn't matter if the service turns out to be incredible I just won't go back.
For me the whole package (which includes how I am treated during the process) is very important. There are certain things I let slide and there are other things that are not negotiable. Ignoring me and not communicating with me when they should is a non negotiable. It just peeves me off.
HI hotcontent thanks for your question. In description you also pointed what is best importance thing for increasing more sale. Beside, bump or good communication and in time deliver, I should say first and precondition before offering service just state clearly your service as what are you going to deliver to buyer? if you can make clear to client in your service in description why you are best and why buyer need to prefer you? how much your experience on that job and what benefit buyer will get after purchasing order? And if you can set exact fair price by observing competitor. I think your sell should be increase.

yea i agree you got a couple good suggestions try not too waste time with toxic buyers really stood out too me the most, too many times you can really find your self trying to work things out or wasting a lot of valuable time dealing with trouble some people well clients and you do not want to do that as you could always be providing your services else were you are not obligated to make every one happy so you do not have to put that extra pressure on your self it is not necessary, build good relationships with good clients
Yeah, you can change your description and upload another image, it is quite usefull methods , i have try it and get the order from Customer
Yeah! You said right things. Description too much importance for any service to attract to any clients. I several times tried to said something like that. If your client do not understand what are you trying to sell exactly, he may not curious too much for purchasing from you. And I should say highlight in your service description as few importance parts. For example: explain first why you are best compare with other? How much your experience on this task? What benefit buyer will get after getting service? This is enough for good description. Besides this image also importance for service sell. Use exact clear and sharp and unique image on that service. i saw some are using some default image, one image for all service. That should be awful. Eye catching image always excellent.
