I have about a dozen unlisted videos on my Youtube channel, in addition to the ones that are available for public. Is it possible to still share this Youtube channel even with the unlisted videos on it or does the channel become private?

All videos that are not unlisted or private will be shown on the playlist.

All other videos will be marked as private or not available. So you don't need to worry about your video being shown to someone you don't want to share with.

Sometimes that happens when a channel owner has uploaded a video and made it public and then later decided to only share it with friends (unlisted) or make it private.

You don't have to worry, as your private videos won't be shown to anyone but yourself. However I can't say for sure whether or not your unlisted videos will s how up for strangers if you include them into a playlist. By creating the playlist, you are basically giving permission to anyone to view that video. So I would test it out by logging out to view the video playlist to see if your unlisted videos are viewable by strangers.
