    Why use SEO?

    SEO will supposedly help you get ranked in Google search. But does it really work for your site to get more traffic? What if you do SEO and it still doesn't result in any traffic? What are your options then?

    If you are doing SEO and don't get any traffic; it is because you are doing SEO wrong or write about either a topic with few interest or a topic with high interests and high competitor!

    You need to write using the keywords users generally use and optimize your site for searches engines to be in the first results! You'll get traffic for sure if you appear in the results and your headline and description is clear enough to attract users!

    In a huge niche with many competitors you won't have much chance to compete for page one results on a popular keyword. For those niches, rely more on direct traffic generation such as through Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.

    You can also build direct traffic by using forums. The purpose of the forums is not SEO (though you might get some benefit from the backlinks). You will establish yourself as a credible niche expert by being helpful on a forum and that will result in more click throughs to your link.

    I would say that if you think you are doing it and not getting any results then something is truly wrong. Go back and check to make sure you are doing things correctly.

    Seo is must for your site or blog to getting more traffic and search engine visibility but remember there is two type of seo one is white hat seo and second is black hat seo. Only white hat seo gives you good and long time result. Who is use Black hat seo Search engine band his website or blog and it can't be seen on search engine result.

    Not supposedly, but surely. It isn't a myth.

    But does it really work for your site to get more traffic?

    If you get more exposure, you get more traffic.

    What if you do SEO and it still doesn't result in any traffic? What are your options then?

    1. Change your SEO strategy or provider
    2. Choose better keywords that suit your potential
    3. Choose different niche that isn't as competitive

    Or you can start using other ways of getting traffic.

    Some site owners are very active on Facebook and have many thousands of fans and that's how they get traffic to the main site. Google search is just one, not the only way to get people to your site.

    There are two points here, Lizanne

    1. SEO used to an easy and inexpensive way of generating traffic. In fact, it used to be so easy and inexpensive that anyone could do and so everyone did. Now it is not so easy and definately not inexpensive. it still works but now you have to learn how to do it and you have to keep learning as Google keeps dropping bombs everywhere. So now, you have to choose whether you want to put the time and effort to learn to do it well or pick something else. This is why I would much rather leave my SEO to the good people on this site and spend my time more fruitfully elsewhere.

    2. SEO is just one of many ways available to you. The trick is to stop thinking about traffic and start thinking about buyers. I don't care if you are giving away cures for cancer, you will still need people to buy into what you are offering. Once you work out where your buyers are, you willl find it obvious how to contact them. Let's go back to the cure for cancer: you find a forum where millions of cancer sufferers and their loved ones congregate every month to discuss surviving cancer. So which is easiest SEO or just going onto that forum and telling people what you have? Focus on the people who will benefit from your actions and simply ask yourself where do they hang out

    There is a third point, Lizanne. SEO has a massive advantage in that it is people who are looking for something. So you can find the people who are looking for what you offer but didn't know your name. However, it will cost you to do it this way

    If you are not seeing any results you must be doing something wrong. Maybe like stated your keywords are not right. Switch things up and see if that works better for you.

    If you will roam around this site you will find many discussions about SEO and its benefit to the website traffic. In fact, SEO is now an industry and those in the know are into SEO work because it brings unimaginable traffic to their website.
