I have used amazon affiliate store as well as affiliate link. I hear that Amazon is phasing out affiliate store. These days, I prefer to use html code for the product I want to promote on my website. I always promote the product that is related to the niche of my website and post.

I tried the affiliate store. When Amazon decided to phase it out, I can't say that I considered it a great loss. I got no sales using my aStores.

I would rather send the person through the affiliate link to ensure they can see any services offered. If they just hit my affiliate store, they might not click through on any of the listings there and then I would not get credit if they later signed up.

I prefer using a store with my own domain, as its easier to market in many places that don't allow affiliate urls.

If they don't click any of the listings on your SEO Clerks affiliate store, then they probably wont click any services on the actual marketplace either if you send them directly to you affiliate link. SEO, etc.. cant be done on an affiliate link and also a lot of search engines and social networks now ban them too. Put your links on a website, then send traffic to that website ensures social network promotion, means you choose to show better converting services, build good ranking and traffic to your store, then sit back and gain affiliates (rather than doing actual work / advertising to gain them) and also, at the end of everything, you have a website (and domain) that can be sold on to make you even more money. @Ophelia - I think Sean101 said it right. You actually have a much better chance that someone Click a Link in your Store since you can Customize and Filter the way Services are Displayed. A good example would be a lot of the $1 Dollar Stores aDollarSEO.com -
Which displays ONLY Services that are $1 Dollar - and they are arranged in Order, descending from "MOST Popular to LEAST Popular" in EACH Category. Getting someone to click on, or spend just $1 Dollar, makes them your Affiliate for Life.
Whereas, you send them to the Home Page of SEOClerks, and all they see are the Featured Services which are usually Priced much higher to Afford their $400 Per month Feature Spot.

@Sean101 - Funny, cuz a long time ago, my Affiliate Link for the Contest Page (seoclerks.com/linkin/3764/contest) used to Out Rank SC's own Contest Page on Google when Searching something like "SEOClerks Contest".
I have no clue how I did it because I have no knowledge of Sniping or Tools to do so (I'm a MAC man). I think it may have just been all the work I did to win the 1st Contest, finally began to kick in by the time the 2nd one came around. So I showed Jordan, and asked him what he thought. He asked me how I did it- and I told him I haven't a clue.
Anyways, he freaked out for about a week or so until he fixed (that's when he added the SSL).
But I have wondered whether these new Sub-Dom Aff Links are "Rankable". If not, it would be cool if each one was a unique Sub-Dom (i.e.: http://a.3764.seoclerks.com/catego...13/service-title) - Then we could rank them by promoting our own: http://a.3764.seoclerks.com/
Now that Jordan is providing Hosting Service, who knows? *lol*

@sunil0021 - Yes, Video is the #2 and sometimes #1 Source of Traffic for me.

No, but that Page hasn't stopped since the last Contest which was this time last year.

So perhaps the System Reset (I'm pretty sure Jordan Retired me from Contest Participation in Order to give other Users a chance to win *lol*

But I think the days of those big Cash Contests are over. No real need for them anymore since they are mainly used to Promote new Startups.

In my opinion, Ionicware has surpassed the "Startup" Stage (in .com Terms at least - maybe not fortune 500 yet though)

You think doing an affiliate contest for Code Clerks or Listing Dock would still be good?
