What's in your bread crumb area?

The breadcrumb area is where your menu goes, usually near the top of the page. Here, the breadcrumb reads:

What

Many times, this breadcrumb style menu is used on forums, though on some websites too, such as on Help pages and allow an easy way for the site user to find their top category.

I am using bread crumbs to design the appearance of my website in searches results! I add my Home > Category > sub category > Article title!

I don't do it for user; i made my menu interactive enough to navigate through pages! I get four links in the result instead of one!

Could you add a link to an external website in your bread crumb area, or is this just for your own internal site links?

You can do this, but it would likely be annoying to your site visitor who expected to hit another page on your site and instead was forwarded to a third party site. They might just click away if you do that.
