Excellent Anweb, great refreshing pointers for any Facebook marketer or SMO that will surely help you to get the best out of your Facebook experience which will lead and only result in a better experience for all, more traffic, sales and earnings for you and your business!

Regarding the best posting times. I always think the best time to post is whatever time it is in the country where your intended audience has the most people are likely to be online at once. And that is mostly in the morning for a bit 7-9, at lunch times for a bit 12-2, but mostly in the evenings from around 5-10. As most people are online at these times in their country. But for most people (US users), the time zones can vary by half a day so some people might not be online at around that time anyway. But of course, if you are a large business, your business is an International business anyway so you never sleep in your daily Facebook SMO, no matter what time it is. Do you agree? Many businesses have set up their Facebook page so as to try to increase their exposure and online brand visibility. Yet, not all of them do a good job out of it. It is indeed a great marketing tool as long as you make sure that you make your business look professional.

  • For starters, the choice of the profile picture and the cover photo matter a lot.
  • Regular updates are very important, but do not overdo it.
  • Facebook sends emails and provides metrics which should be put to good use to improve.
  • Messages and posts should be answered promptly not after several days.

Create a short and easy to remember username for your page.
Link your page with your business website.
Interaction is key. If someone comments on your posts, always reply them.
Don't be absent from the page for too long. If you don't have time, hire a social media manager.

Facebook is a friendly platform that allows us to keep in touch with family and friends while still doing and promoting our business.

Even if the About section is not being read, I know because I am one of those who do not read that, it is still imperative to have it filled with substantial information about you and your business. And the cover photo is also one of the most important because it is the main object that attracts attention. I usually stop and read whenever I would chance upon a page with an interesting photo. And sometimes after reading the page, I would realize that it is not relevant to me. But the point is I already have read the contents of the page because I was attracted by the image.
