By submitting your RSS feeds to multiple RSS feed directories and aggregators, they will automatically be notified when you publish new content - and this will generate more traffic to your sites.
Also, Google and other search engines just LOVE RSS feeds which is why they are so popular for picking up top blog & news stories. In addition, RSS feed submission will provide you great powerful backlinks.
