just in case you are new to blogging or are just considering starting your own blog, or you have a blog and are just now considering monetizing your blog, I think a short introduction to what a blog it will be appropriate.

As the internet developed to become what it is today, many webmasters discovered that netizens wanted to know which websites had recently been updated and which had new information on them. Web surfers were searching new and exciting information and did not want to have to go check sites themselves to see if they had been updated recently. They wanted someplace they could go and see just what was new.

There were some pretty sharp programmers started posting logs on their own websites which told their site visitors which websites had recent updates or new information on them.

These weblogs, as they were called at that time, were like an informal directory of “what’s new” online. These weblogs, and the technology which powered them, eventually grew and changed to become the blogs of today.

A blog is simply a website which is written in a friendly news format which is frequently updated. Rather than be a listing of new or updated websites, blogs came to be new news, and always changing websites in themselves.

by: marengo
Created: --
Category:
Viewed: 160

The money is in the list.
You’ve probably heard that before right?
Well, that’s not exactly true. Not the whole truth anyway.

The biggest obstacle you face and have to overcome when you publish a newsletter or put any free or paid information out there is the fact that people have gotten used to getting junk (from your competitors) disguised as helpful free or paid information.

Many writers put out sub-standard information simply because they’re writing from a mentality of “I gotta get paid” and when you do that, you completely forget about the people you’re writing to and start to concentrate on you and what you want.

That’s a surefire recipe for disaster.

by: marengo
Created: --
Category:
Viewed: 144

If you currently own a business or are thinking of starting one up, chances are, you are going to need some information about how to get the word out about your product or service. That is when you need to think about marketing and building a marketing strategy.

With the World Wide Web being the major source of information sharing and communications in the world, it is natural that you would want to use this as a major focus for building your marketing strategy. That is what this e-book is for; to teach you how to become a major player in the field of business that you choose by taking advantage of the internet and using affiliation as your marketing strategy’s foundation.

Of course, before I can show you how to become a master affiliate, I think it would be best, to begin with, a basic introduction to marketing in general. So in this introduction to becoming a master affiliate, I will give you a basic explanation into marketing because this will help you to better understand how affiliation can be done with expert precision.

Most people are aware of what marketing is, but most do not realize everything that is involved in marketing. Marketing is not a temporary thing. Marketing is more than sales. Marketing is actually an entire process of activities that is used to:

1. Get your potential customer’s attention 2. Motivate them to buy
3. Get them to actually buy
4. Get them to keep buying

Marketing is how you define your product, promote your product, distribute your product, and to maintain a relationship with your customers. All of this is important if you want to run a successful business. When you become an affiliate, you are just gaining access to a world of customers instead of just being available for a local customer base. It simply allows you to reach millions of potential customers instead of hundreds. With this kind of potential, is it a wonder that so many people are relying on the web as their marketing hub.

In order to get the consumer’s attention, you will need to know who they are and where they are. When you use affiliation, you can cut some of that work in half. When you are an affiliate, a lot of your customers will find you. This is a business feat that is just too good to be true, and if you know what you are doing, the benefits are simply awesome!

by: marengo
Created: --
Category:
Viewed: 126

If you’ve been considering self-publishing for any length of time, your head probably feels like it’s about to explode. Between the books, the blogs, the publishing-related websites, and the opinions of writers, friends, enemies, frenemies, true publishing professionals, and people who hold themselves out as publishing gurus or divas, you may just want to throw your arms up in the air and scream.

The publishing world, as you probably know, is changing so rapidly it’s hard to keep up. Amazon.com has eclipsed Barnes & Noble as the largest retailer of books in the United States.1 Borders, Waldenbooks, and many iconic independent bookstores around the country (including Blue Elephant Book Shop in Decatur, Georgia; Robin’s Books in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Edgartown Books in Martha’s Vineyard) are now buried in the same literary graveyard2—and Barnes & Noble may be joining them, cutting its retail stores by one-third and planning to close twenty stores a year for the next ten years.3 Barnes & Noble still won’t sell titles published by Amazon,4 and both Walmart and Target have dumped Kindle faster than a crazy bachelorette gets sent home on The Bachelor.5 flow in which retailers are picking whose sides, and you’ve got the makings of a reality show that would put a Real Housewives cast to shame. And, just for fun, toss in the multibillion-dollar world of e-book

by: marengo
Created: --
Category:
Viewed: 142
