Can I get a work with these skills?

I am a Senior High graduate but I don't know if my skills can get me a job or will someone accept me since i'm not a College graduate. I learned computer programming for two years(Grade 11 and 12) but I don't know if I can acquire a job with my skills. I don't even know if my skills were just basic or what but I I can create website manually using both HTML an CSS. I even created websites for my school projects with databases. I can also create Android app but I am not confident with it Can I get a work with these skills?. I also tried creating program with C# and java programming languages. But my question is, can I get a job with these skills without a degree? Can I get a work with these skills?

You sure can get a job with those skills, but you should focus on freelance work for now until you can make some money right away. While you're doing your freelance work, apply for jobs all over the place and see who contacts you for an interview. Even if the company says you need a degree in order to be hired, you should still apply for a job and see what happens.

You might be able to make more money with your website design skills than a company could pay you. Most companies will start you off on the lower end and it will take a while to get paid good money. With freelancing and running your own website design company through your own website, you can bring in a few clients a month that will pay you a lot more than what a company ever would.

Just set up a website that looks nice, has some good on-site branding, a decent amount of optimized content, then go to forums and post sales threads and see what happens. I know a designer who makes $3,000 a month in the Phillippines just because he gets clients through marketing forums and has been doing it for a while Can I get a work with these skills?

I had read a similar advice when I was roaming around the internet. Be a freelancer is not easy when you have no idea about what it is all about. But when I learned that it was just doing honest work then I tried paid forum posting in one site. It was so difficult to make a long post that my mind was developing mental fatigue and my fingers were getting stiff. But I finally blended with the work and after 3 years I’m still into it.

Here on this marketplace, customers will not ask you for your degree. If you have it, it may be an advantage to reach some more customers, but not necessarily. As long you can provide some sort of service within your knowledge and keep your customers happy with your work, it's good enough to start your freelancing career here.

Don't forget that you can learn many things here! Specially in this community discussions section.

Not sure if HTML work is popular any more. Most of people using WordPress now and your advantage could be to develop your own themes for WordPress maybe. Just my suggestion.

Developing apps could be interesting i guess. However, good luck. The sooner you start, sooner you will be making money. Just clear your mind from your doubts and keep going ;)

Given your current credentials, I’d say you can probably find some work, but your odds are going to be fairly slim. Finding a permanent position is going to be very difficult, as most people are going to demand a bachelor’s degree at minimum. This can vary from location to location, but even when looking for work online, this is a qualification that most employers
demand.

For the time being, you can look into becoming a freelancer and offering cheaper services than competitors. This can help you make a little extra money and build your resume as well.

Your best bet at making a solid career in computer programming is going to be going to college and finding an internship. Best of luck!

There's one way to find out. Make a resume highlighting your skills and apply for online and offline work. You can also try creating a service and posting it.

Hi. I think yes, you can get a job. If you are not confident enough, try applying online for freelancing jobs first. There is a lot of job opportunities you can find through the internet and websites. If in time, you have done the freelancing job and you think you can go on regular jobs, then go for it. There is no harm in trying.

I think it depends on where you want to find work. If you are looking for work online with those skills you are gold. I bet it won't take you more then a few hours to find work. Programming skills are in demand. Register under SEO clerks and I'm sure you will be working in a few hours. Offline employers seem to be blindfolded by certification instead of skill, so that maybe a bit harder if you ask me.

First of all you need to be confident on your skills, your skills is your way for success if you don't have a degree. Second, everything should be fine if your search for the appropriate job for your skills. Lastly, there's a lot of opportunity out there the only thing that i see holding you is your self questioning your ability.

Some are not that skilled but are confident and willing to learn. In the industry, the management prefer someone that are confident, follow the rules, and doing their best to improve their skills and to do their job well. Some are already skilled but they have behavioral problems, does not follow protocols, etc. You already have some skills and you can improve it by searching through the Internet or apply entry level jobs so that you can have experience. Experience is one key to improve your skills and how you can handle your work well. Just be confident and don't be afraid of new things that will be coming, Change is constant in this world so just embrace the changes and learn how to adjust.

The new K12 curriculum in the Philippines says that the graduates of Senior High School would be able to get a job. There are companies that doesn't require applicants to have a college degree and there are companies that does require. I think it will depend on the kind of job that you want to apply. If you are good at HTML and CSS that would be a good starting point. You can try to apply to a web development company as a front end developer. But I suggest that if you really want to become a web developer you have to add other skills like javasript/jquery and learn web development frameworks. You an also try freelancing because it doesn't require any degree. As long as you can deliver the clients requirements you could earn at the comfort of your home and in your available time.

Its really hard to find a job if you already have doubt to your self. You should be confidence and try to apply and learn something new. Being college graduate is just a piece of paper, your knowledge and ability is still matter for some company.

Our self is our number one enemy sometimes, we don't know how to handle the failure, this is just a normal thing, but it's easy to overcome by just watching some motivational speech on YouTube.

You can perhaps focus on your programming skills because that can get you a good job. But while you are specializing in programming, you might as well do some freelance work by getting into drop shipping or maybe join forums that pay for posting. Don’t expect to tread an easy path when you are starting to earn because almost anything is difficult on the first time. Just learn how to have enough patience and perseverance.

What matters I whether you can do things people will pay for. They don't even have to be very difficult things. One thing I pay for is relevant comments on blogs. Pretty much anyone who can read and think can do that. Just pick some thing you can do quickly and efficiently enough for the going rate to be worthwhile for you.

Definitely yes! With that kind of skill you have yes you can get a job for sure. Not everyone knows what you can do already because some are trying to learned and enrolling just to study what you already known. More on private companies they will definitely need someone like you. You just to believe in yourself.

I think you can easily get the work. Most likely you may find that these days upwork and similar sites are a bit harder to get work. And also you have to work on small set of the jobs for getting client trust. And once you have their trust. Then you can build your portfolio even more ahead. That way you can make some good conversion out of the skills that you can have.
